Meet the Whānau

We are Māmā - Toyah, Pāpā - Dan and Pēpi Matai! I, Toyah, am in charge of steaming consultations, while Papa builds our beautiful steaming seats. I’ve been working closely with wahine and wombs for many years now. I’ve trained in Womb Priestess Arts, Vaginal Steaming , Birth Trauma Healing and more recently I have become a qualified Postpartum Care Practitioner. I am deeply passionate about wombs, blood, babies and birth. I feel so much magic woven through these sacred rites of passage and feel devoted to the remembrance of this knowing.

My intention is to be able to offer educational and insightful consultations for anyone wishing to incorporate steaming into their lives. My beloved partner Dan built my first steaming seat a few years ago when I began using steaming to prepare my uterus pre-conception (more on that later) and it was so beautiful I thought “everyone needs an opportunity to have one of these gorgeous Yoni thrones” and here we are! We are a very busy little family with our 3year old Matai, he certainly keeps us on our toes!

Our whānau is currently recovering from the Eskdale Floods where we lost everything, including all the things we need for this business. Thanks to you all we are slowly rebuilding our lives and our business xx

We have some pretty big dreams as a family, and this little business of ours has been a long time coming! One of our long term dreams is to be able to save enough money to buy pockets of land, regenerate native forest and increase bird populations in Aotearoa. You’ll come to know how much we love birds around here. Thank you for being here. Toyah x
